Atlantic has an article on the Russian connection. Something about Putin overplaying his hand.

The events that follow may be disasterous. I think of Putin and Bin Laden as being much the same. With a small investment and rather minimal tampering, both got spectacular results. Without Bin Laden, Bush would have been a forgettable one term president.

But we do have Trump to thank for making us aware of alt facts, tweets, the power of social media. Learn that lesson for the next election. Marshall McLuhan is finally right: the medium is the message.
