An articulated lorry has ploughed into a busy Christmas market in the heart of Berlin, killing 12 people and injuring 48.
Germany's Interior Minister, Thomas de Maiziere, said "many things" pointed to a deliberate attack.

Police say the person arrested yesterday who is a refugee from Pakistan is not the person who drove the truck. So, either the real attacker is still at large or the real attacker was maybe among the dead at the Xmas Market.

Image showing the path of the truck. On CNN yesterday, people said this could not have been an accident because the market was far away from any major street. But you can see in the image, that this is not true. There is a clear line from Hardenbergstraße where the truck was coming from to the market. If I was a terrorist and planning such an attack, I would consciously choose such a scenario rather than a market which is far away from roads. In the latter case there is a too high risk of being stopped before reaching the market.

So, I think the possibility of an accident cannot not fully be ruled out at the moment. (Though very improbable)
