Mosul

Terrorists killing civillians and using them as human shields. Those captured have shaved their beards. Guy sitting by the wall at gun point in this story has shaved:

I saw a report today about the recapture of a town outside Mosul. It was such a beautiful story. The joy and celebration on the locals faces was magnificent. But yeah, it would be bloody nervous times just after the liberation. All those people crowding out on the streets. Perfect target for a suicide bomber.

Terrorists now driving in regular cars to Syria, no drones picking them off among horse carts

Fog of war. Don't ever bother following 'real time' Middle Eastern events. Human shields/Innocent civilians depending on whether it's the Russian or UK/American bombs....no difference....every one dead and the bomb is a bomb, can't be bothered....with it. No good actors. Unlikely there'll be a good outcome - half of Iraq wanting to flee on a boat bound for Europe...and if Hilary get's in you might have Iraqi neighbours too, one day soon? :coffee:

Half of Syria, you mean. These people flee from Mosul to Syria, then syria to Turkey.

CNN
Between 700 and 1,000 people arrive daily from the embattled city of Mosul to the stretch of UN-run refugee camps just 20 kilometers east of the city's outskirts.

There the transition begins -- out of the hell of life under fire in Mosul and into a life of limbo as a refugee.

Means nothing. They celebrate with joy whoever is in charge. Whether it's ISIS or the Iraq govt.

With no seven-year-old girl to tweet about it? I'm afraid this will never make American news.
