Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

There is an inquiry here in Canada, to investigate the sickeningly high number of missing and murdered Indigenous women. I feel it. I have taken part in a search party for one of them. There are far too many, they are not being noticed enough.

Recently, there has been some noise around expanding the inquiry to include Indigenous men and boys. It is quite reasonable to predict that there are twice as many males, among the missing and murdered, as females.

With so many feminist organizations being firmly behind the MMIW inquiry, I would like to guess that they will be firmly behind including men and boys in the inquiry. Time will tell.
