LOL - no case for a specific candidate being overlooked in favor of a less or even equally deserving candidate....just...well....

...oh, wait...yes, I have it. The value of a discovery or work is a social construct. We can't really say one discovery or work is better than another discovery or work, because the basis of that judgment is rooted in the values of the culture in which it the discovery or work is derived. Thus, the work of women is undervalued in a patriarchal, capitalist, heteronormative society, and therefore the Nobel Prize committed awards prizes based on those sexist and misogynistic assumptions as to what does and does not have worth.

It's like beauty - the only reason we find fat people less attractive than thin people is a social construct built on discriminatory norms. The same goes for how we value a writing, scientific discovery, or other achievement. The only reason we value the discovery of new phases of matter or the development of molecular machines as more valuable or worthy than other discoveries is the inherent bias toward the patriarchy and the misogyny inherent in the system.
