Re: The Donald-thread
The media loves this election. They secretly love Trump because hating trump sells papers.
Should Trump become president, his stunts will entertain for about a year. He will resign his third year just before impeachment.

What about 25 million jobs is a lie? What did he say?Tero wrote: 25 million jobs,
"wall" is not a lie. He wants to build a wall, but so what? That's not a lie. And, the wall is half built or more than half built already. Obama has been continuing the wall-building that's been going on for many years now, and started before Obama became President. They are constantly extending the wall.Tero wrote: wall,
I thought we were talking about lies.Tero wrote: insults,
Every politician exaggerates. Like when Hillary claims to land in Bosnia under sniper fire. Just a misstatement and exaggeration. Or, when she says there was no confidential information on her server, even though there was -- an "exaggeration." LOL.Tero wrote: exaggerations.
But, go ahead - specify one.
Says you. But, you have not identified a single lie he's told. Look. You can hate the guy. You can distrust him - you can think he's full of shit and won't do anything he says he wants to do. But, that's not the same thing as lying. A lie is something a person says. It is a statement made by a person which is intentionally false when made.Tero wrote:
He's not going to do anything. Put gold curtains in Oval Office and solid gold toilet seats.
Just because Obama, for example, says something that doesn't happen, or fails to follow through on something, that doesn't mean he lied about it. And, when he's mistaken about stuff, he's not lying.
So, if he lies so often -- all the time - everything he says -- etc. - then why can't you just cut and paste a quote showing his lie, and the evidence that shows his statement was demonstrably false when made. I won't ask you to prove his "intent." But, you haven't even identified something he actually said that was shown to be "false."
Now, I'm pretty sure he's human, so you should be able to find something that he's said that was false. We all say things that are false from time to time. The devil is, of course, in the details and what the person's false statement was all about, what context it was in, etc. But, it's pretty weak to sit there declaring that the guy's every utterance is bald faced lie and yet you seem determined not to specifically identify a single one.

Come on Tero. I clicked on that link it's a bunch of summaries of political positions. The opponent's political positions are not "lies" even if one thinks they are improper and/or unobtainable. I can link you to Hillary's political positions and I would be just as justified in saying that she won't fulfill them either. She, like most politicians, don't keep all their promises, and they almost invariably overpromise.Tero wrote:These lies about things he will do

Here are series of about 5 lies that Clinton told about her emails --
These are truly lies because she made specific statements which were, in fact, shown to be demonstrably false when made.
Here is more -- where Clinton says she never sent or received classified information, and the FBI found that there were 110 emails in 52 email chains that AT THE TIME THEY WERE SENT contained classified information --
Speaking about Donald Trump she stated "Donald Trump does not make a thing in the United States." False. Trump hats, wine and water, among other things, come from the US.
Speaking of Mike Pence, Hillary said that "unlike Tim Keane who invested in education, Mike Pence slashed education funding." This was false, because Mike Pence increased funding for education.
She said her email practices were "allowed," which was false. They were not. Even though she was not criminally prosecuted, her practices were a violation of the document control rules.

LOL. She's outright saying things that aren't true. Either she really believes them to be true, and she's stupid/crazy, or she's lying.Tero wrote:I don't see any lies. Must be her Alzheimer's.
Here's another ""We now have driven (health care) costs down to the lowest they've been in 50 years." - That's just flat out false. Is she lying, or just pig ignorant?
She said ISIS is "going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists." - false. Wrong. Is she lying, or just pig ignorant?
She said - "The gun industry is "the only business in America that is wholly protected from any kind of liability." - false. Just flat out wrong. Is she lying, or just pig ignorant?

Hillary said "we now have more jobs in solar than we do in oil." False. Is she lying, or just pig ignorant.
She said white people are three times more likely than black people to get mortgage loans, even if they have the same credentials. That's false. It's just made up. She's full of it.
She seems like a pathological liar.

The money relating to those expenses, which reportedly amounted to $258,000 from the Trump Foundation, may have violated "self-dealing" laws that prohibit nonprofit leaders from using charity money for self-benefit or the benefit of their for-profit businesses, according to The Post.
"I represent 700 nonprofits a year, and I've never encountered anything so brazen," Jeffrey Tenenbaum, who advises charities at the Venable law firm in Washington, told The Post, later describing the details as "really shocking."

Dude, nobody gives $1.1 million dollars because they think a candidate or politician has the best interests of the little guy at heart. I mean, the defense of this practice because it's been a common political corruption for generations is ridiculous. It's corruption. They're selling appointments. Everyone knows it. It's not something unique to the Democrats. It's not a slam on them in particular. Both parties do it and both parties are just as bad for doing it.
The thing is, Trump won't owe very many people anything. That's why the elite/establishment folks don't like him. Do you think they give a fuck about his class and decorum? Of course not. They'd love him if he was in their pocket.
