“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

My guess is, in Canada, his life is still ruined, those who were demonstrated to be lying to ruin his life will still gather more sympathy than contempt, and this art grant will go through just fine.

Indeed, they still prance around declaring that the "victim" got a raw deal because she was confronted with her own lies.Cunt wrote:My guess is, in Canada, his life is still ruined, those who were demonstrated to be lying to ruin his life will still gather more sympathy than contempt, and this art grant will go through just fine.
The judge was part of the problem for, tactfully, writing in his opinion that the complaining witnesses were shown to have lied to police and lied under oath in court, to the point where one of them claimed to have been assaulted by Jian Ghomeshi in a car he didn't own at the time she said it happened.
