Latest LA times poll, Trump 47 Clinton 40.4

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Bernie people leave DNC Convention, and DNC replaces them with "seat fillers" to present fake unity.

Video from inside DNC, half of delegates walked out for Clinton nomination speech. Seats later filled by paid seat fillers for TV, Bernie state volunteers now banned from entering DNC

Yeah. The idea that the DNC was anywhere near the train wreck of the RNC is deluded.

Well the Repubs think the DNC was a disaster because a few people walked out. Everyone else thinks the RNC was a disaster because of the dumb shit that was said, from Carson saying Hilary was a tool of Satan, to Trump disgustingly using the LGBT platform to forward his bigotry by saying he'll protect teh gays from "the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology." (Ironically he could've been talking about Christianity here). Almost every moment of the RNC was face-palmingly terrible. It was a collection of backward, out of touch, miserable and scared, mainly white men. Pathetic.

Only if you didn't watch it, or you get your news from CNN or MSNBC, or similar sources.eRvin wrote:Yeah. The idea that the DNC was anywhere near the train wreck of the RNC is deluded.
They were booing speakers last night, including a police officer (when enough people in the crowd were chanting "black lives matter!" over and over again to be heard on the broadcast). Also, they booed a soldier, chanting "no more wars! no more wars!" When Elizabeth Warren spoke the other night, a crowd was chanting "we trusted you! we trusted you!" And, there were choruses of boos on the first day over the Bernie Sanders fiasco and the DNC/Hillary conspiracy to spin and rig the election.
Bernie Sanders contingents left the convention in protest leaving large empty swaths of seats, which the DNC promptly filled with paid and unpaid shills, to keep butts in the seats and pay for cheers.
The DNC had to fire their national chairperson, Debbie Wasserman Shultz, the day before the convention started. She was slated to open the convention, but because she was revealed to be liar and cheat, she had to step down. The crowd of Bernie supporters was furious over the fact that Hillary hired Wasserman Shultz on the same day she resigned/was fired in disgrace from the DNC so that Wasserman Shultz could work on Hillary's campaign - err... I mean CONTINUE to work on her campaign.
On the first night of convention, delegates were so pissed off that droves of angry party members booed and jeered officials attempting to open proceedings – leading the presiding officer to scold delegates, “We are all Democrats, and we need to act like it.” If you were watching the convention, you would know that as Rep. Marcia Fudge tried to preside over the convention, boos and chants broke out, particularly whenever Clinton’s name was mentioned.
When Bernie Sanders told a crowd of supporters that they needed to unite around Hilary Clinton on Monday morning, he was booed.
Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, the mayor of Baltimore, was tasked with opening the convention by hitting the podium with a gavel -- she forgot her only job - the gavel.
Bernie texted his supports to please, please, please, don't protest on the floor of the convention -- https://twitter.com/BKcolin/status/7576 ... 64/photo/1
Donna Brazile - a Clinton loyalist appointed to replace the crooked Debbie Wasserman Shultz -- had to issue an obsequious apology to get past their crooked behavior -- http://time.com/4422715/bernie-sanders- ... ed-emails/ Everybody saw through it.
At least 40 people were arrested outside the DNC convention because of protesting, and the DNC built a big, beautiful wall around their convention to keep the protesters far, far away so that MSNBC and CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and the international media could flatly ignore them. But, they were there.
The people generally panned Hillary's acceptance speech, despite the self-abuse by media pundits as they orgasmed over Hillary -- http://time.com/4430082/dnc-hillary-clinton-speech-2/
At one point, droves of protesters marched down a road parallel to the fence that enclosed the Wells Fargo Center chanting, “Hillary Clinton, you are under arrest!” Protest chants included “Fuck you, DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary” and “Hell no, DNC, this is not democracy. The DNC convention was riddled with farm more protests than the RNC convention.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2 ... itter_pageOn the first day of the convention, by Cleveland’s local Fox affiliate’s count, police detained more than twice as many protesters as they did during the entirety of the RNC. Over the course of the week, protesters inside and out provided a rolling migraine for convention organizers. On Tuesday night, for instance, Bernie Sanders read Hillary Clinton’s name into nomination in a gesture of unity.
A few minutes later, hundreds of his delegates marched out of the arena and then through the hallway that looped around it, chanting about the perceived unfairness of the party nominating process and ultimately sitting down en masse in the media tent—the same tent that had to be evacuated the night before as it was flooded by a monsoon.
Inside the arena, Bernie’s diehards put the RNC’s #NeverTrump dissidents to shame. Throughout the course of the convention, they waved anti-TPP signage, heckled speakers (CIA director Leon Panetta was greeted with chants of “No more war!”), booed party leaders, and tried to drown out convention proceedings. When Bernie Sanders told his supporters on Tuesday night that they needed to suck it up and vote Clinton, they booed him. And some delegates in the arena toted signs calling for Clinton’s incarceration and chanted “Lock her up!”—which had also been a popular refrain at the RNC. When the convention voted on Tuesday to officially give Clinton the nomination, Sanders fans through the arena wept, openly. One in particular, dubbed “crying Peter Pan guy,” generated his own news cycle—and had to publicly note that his pointy green hat was actually a nod to Robin Hood.

It wasn't just a few people. Hundreds of delegates walked out.Animavore wrote:Well the Repubs think the DNC was a disaster because a few people walked out.
What's wrong with Trump wanting to protect LGBT from a violent and hateful ideology, foreign or otherwise? Trump has been consistently pro-LGBT nondiscrimination -- he was asked a "gotcha" question, intended to show him to be anti-LGBT, when he was asked what bathroom at Trump tower trans people could use, and he said that they could use whichever bathroom they wanted to use.Animavore wrote: Everyone else thinks the RNC was a disaster because of the dumb shit that was said, from Carson saying Hilary was a tool of Satan, to Trump disgustingly using the LGBT platform to forward his bigotry by saying he'll protect teh gays from "the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology."
Christianity is throwing gay people off of roofs, drowning them, hanging them and otherwise excuting them these days.Animavore wrote: (Ironically he could've been talking about Christianity here).
That's certainly one opinion. The DNC was face-palmingly scummy, rigged, dishonest, patronizing, and pandering. That's why hundreds of people walked out, and had to be filled with "seat fillers" - because the scumbags in the DNC and the Hillary campaign are unapologetic in their scumbaggery. Lying pieces of shit with no shame.Animavore wrote: Almost every moment of the RNC was face-palmingly terrible. It was a collection of backward, out of touch, miserable and scared, mainly white men. Re: Election 2016 Thread
There were many more protesters at the DNC convention protesting the DemoRats than were protesting the Repugnicans. Many, many more protesters were arrested, and there was a lot more shouting of words to the effect of "liar" at and about Clinton, as well as Wasserman Shultz (piece of shit lying scumbag who tells everyone she and the DNC are "neutral" while at the same time they are conspiring with the Clinton camp to rig the election in contravention of DNC rules) , Elizabeth Warren (who is a piece of shit that claims to be a native american to get a teaching job -- and a piece of shit that complains about the immorality of "profit" while charging $430,000 to teach a class) -- it's a piece of shit after piece of shit at that DNC convention.
