What I get is that 45% of British trade is a smaller number that 17% of EU trade.
Didn't you go to school?

You only have to look at British roads, to see what it would cost the EU.
And I don't see what you mean by favours. Does taking £300 million a week off us count as a favour? Or does giving us back some of our own money, to be spent as the EU wants, not us, count as a favour?

Britain has withstood attacks from the continent in the past. This is fuck-all.
Stop trading. Cause massive unemployment both sides of the channel. And the EU project will be in pieces in months. The EU does have voters, you know.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

The Brexit

Post by Forty Two » Tue Jun 28, 2016 4:28 pm

Mr Farage used his speech to declare that Brexit was "a beacon of hope" to other member states but he also infuriated MEPs when he said: "Now, I know that virtually none of you have ever done a proper job in your lives or worked in business or worked in trade or indeed ever created a job. But listen, just listen."

When MEPs turned their backs to him and Martin Schulz, the president of the parliament, intervened, Mr Farage responded: "You’re quite right, Mr Schulz. Ukip used to protest against the establishment. Now the establishment protests against Ukip. So something has happened here."

"Isn’t it funny? When I came here 17 years ago and I said that I wanted to lead a campaign go get Britain out of the European Union, you all laughed at me. Well, I have to say, you’re not laughing now, are you?

And the reason you’re so upset, the reason you’re so angry, has been perfectly clear from all the angry exchanges this morning. You, as a political project, are in denial. You are in denial that your currency is failing.

Just look at the Mediterranean. As a policy to impose poverty and the rest of the Mediterranean, you’ve done very well. And you are in denial over Mrs Merkel’s call last year for as many people as possible to cross the Mediterranean into the European Union. [It] has led to massive divisions within countries and between countries.

But the biggest problem you’ve got, and the main reason the United Kingdom voted the way that it did, is that you have, by stealth, by deception, without ever telling the truth to the British or the rest of the people’s of Europe, you have imposed upon them a political union.

And when the people in 2005 in the Netherlands and France voted against the political union, when they rejected the constitution, you simply ignored them and brought the Lisbon treaty in through the back door."
"What happened last Thursday was a remarkable result. It was a seismic result, not just for British politics, but for European politics but perhaps even for global politics too, because what the little people did, what the ordinary people did, what the people who have been oppressed over the last few years and who have seen their living standards go down [did], they rejected the multinationals, they rejected the merchant banks, they rejected big politics. And they said, actually, we want our country back. We want our fishing waters back. We want our borders back. And we want to be an independent, self-governing, normal nation and that is what we have done and that is what must happen.

And in doing so we offer a beacon of hope to democrats across the rest of the European continent. I will make one prediction this morning; the United Kingdom will not be the last member state to leave the European Union."

What a crock of shit. While the Marxist bureaucrats in Brussels are angry the people of Europe are not, and they are not spiteful over Brexit. Indeed, Sweden and France are considering the same thing, along with much of eastern Europe.

All this means is that individual countries will trade with Britain just like they always have, but Britain will be saving billions each year in paying for scum-sucking, money-grubbing EU bureaucrats to spend tens of millions of dollars every year just to move the whole fucking circus from Brussels to France just so they can vote on shit.

The EU is a bunch of socialist losers who are losing their power and those who support them are on the wrong side of history.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic called on Tuesday for the powers of the European Commission to be reined in after Britain voted to leave the EU, with Warsaw calling for the dismissal of Jean-Claude Juncker, the executive's head.

Last week's referendum alarmed governments in the former communist eastern region of the EU who had seen London as their main eurosceptic ally in efforts to reduce centralised control from Brussels.

"We are asking if this ... leadership of the European Commission... has... a right to continue functioning, fixing Europe," Poland's Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said.

"In our opinion, it does not... New politicians, new commissioners should undertake this task, and first of all we should give new prerogatives to the European Council, because it consists of politicians who have a democratic mandate."

If it wasn't for the fact that most of the little people were motivated by fear of immigrants, racism or xenophobia, then I'd almost buy into that speech.

I don't know how anyone can play the anti-globalist joker on this with a straight face, particularly when the UK is about to undergo a transition to an unelected, even more right-wing, corporate-embedded Tory government than it's already had for the last 6 years.
