It's sold in all major bottle shops (liquor shops) here. The quality of Australian and American beer is shitting all over the rest of the world who are stuck with tradition and no innovation.

I've tried innovative beers, and a good, conservative traditional one is far more to my taste, be it a simple well made Pilsner or a German Weissbier or a stout.

adding flavorings to american style piss doesn't really improve it, or good beer make

Good beer has flavour, whether it's traditional hop mixes or newer mixes. I generally find American Pale Ales to be too flavoursome and bitter, but beer snobs love that shit. That's why I like a pale ale with a bit more malt and slightly less radical hop use. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a traditional English amber ale. But amber ale has always been fruity and flavoursome. Can't really improve on it too much.

In the end we keep conflating "best beer" with "the beer we like best". That said, I'll be opening a bottle of what's been my favourite for the past 40 years in about 15 or 30 minutes.

I like the Belgium amber beers. British tend to be too weak. A good beer should be at least 7-8%. What I like about Belgium beers is they generally not so hoppy and are more rounded and complete. I hate thin bitter beers. Mind you one of my real favourites is "geuze" a beer brewed around Brussel using spontaneous fermentation. It is extremely dry and bitter but the real thing is hard to find.

You should have posted a bigger image than that. I can hardly see it.

My problem with the Belgium beers is their flavour. Not that they lack flavour, just that I personally don't like the flavour. Too fucking weird and spiced and shit. But I do recognise that lots of others like em. We should still nuke Belgium from orbit just to be sure, though.. :coffee:

If I was a still a phpBB forum admin I'd write a custom imgfit tag that only shrank images, not expanded them. I'm guessing by the the tag works that the same people who created Tapatalk coded that imgtag. ;)

Yes, fruity and spiced is what I avoid in many Beligian beers... that's why I ask Belgian or German style when offered a White beer.. but they have got outstanding abby beers, even if my preference goes to German/Czech styles.

Weis beer (German) and wit beer (Belgian) are slightly different animals. I dont like maize beer though too clingy in the throat.

I don't like wheat beer. Although, I haven't really had one for probably a decade or so.

Just as well I didn't use the 95 x 65 pixel one I found, huh? Don't worry, though. You'll see it once you sober up.

There's Weißbier and Weizenbier. Not to be confused.
