If we in the West go down the anti-social path. And I'm not saying we should or will. But if we in the West decide to eradicate Islam as a world faith....we need to use all the means at our disposal with no holds barred...it would be horrible and leave a terrible scar on those who value the idea of human moral progress - wouldn't effect me since I've accepted that moral progress is a myth, but some would be traumatised...by the thin veneer vanishing for a while. But the long term consequence would be more coordination amongst the survivors and a economic boom from the guilty keeping themselves busy in case any one notices they've the blood of millions on the hands. The C of E, which forbids gay marriage, is a homophobic religion. The Metropolitan Community Church, which was set up specifically to allow gay marriage, isn't a homophobic religion. Is the overarching religion of Christianity therefore a homophobic one? Clearly you can't say that. The Islam of Muslim LGBT people is similarly not homophobic. I do not think the victims of the Orlando killings are honoured by turning their tragedy into a series of islamophobic generalizations.

The C of E is a homophobic religion, you say? I agree, but when people said that Islam is a homophobic religion, you called such statements unjustifiable Islamophobia. You went even further, saying that Islam as a religion does not exist an the grounds that

Then again, I am of a mind that Nazism had a strong religious undercurrent in addition to being a political movement... religions being generally hard to separate from politics.
