There is nothing wrong with a parent unconditionally loving their child, nor even mourning the ways in which their lives have been irreversibly altered by factors outside their control.

But seeking to minimise and defend what is a pretty horrendous sexual assault, with no sympathy whatsoever for the victim, is clearly out of order.

If and when you go through such an experience with your own child I look forward to you making good on this.

Being brutally honest, I don't envisage a situation where my inadequate parenting skills serve to raise a rapist, let alone one where I blame the victim for it.

I don't accept that likelihood is relevant. There's either a causative connection or not, and you don't know whether or not there is. You're relying on probability when proof is required.

Whatever. I listened to the first three minutes or so. I won't sit through the rest in the hope that Ms Flaming Go will finally get to her point. All that's needed is for her to tell us that there was no rape, or if there was, it either wasn't the rapist's fault or it was only six month's worth of gaol time worth of fault, or whatever. That can be done in two minutes.
