A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

The one with the media backing wins.piscator wrote:It must've killed him to find out the one with the most votes wins...
Interestingly, the media threw up its hands and declared "Hillary clinched" and everyone nodded, when, in fact, she has not "clinched." For some reason, reporters and pundits seem to want the Democratic race over before it's actually over, and have moved to declare it over.
Hillary has 2,203 pledged delegates. Bernie has 1,828, which is only 17.1% fewer than Hillary. It's a close race, in historical terms.
The magic number to "clinch" is 2,383. That would mean, if she had 2,383 pledged delegates, there would be no way for Bernie to win, because the pledged delegates are legally bound to cast their vote for Hillary on the first ballot at the convention, per the current rules.
The way they get her from 2,203 to 2,383 is by adding "superdelegates" and she has 577. Superdelegates, as we know, are party officials, senators, etc., that get a vote at the convention IRRESPECTIVE of the popular vote during the primaries. They are not bound to vote for the majority winner of any state, and they are not bound to vote for the one who gets the most votes overall. Those 577 superdelegates have publicly stated that they are leaning Hillary, but they are not bound to do so, and they could change their mind.
There are 109 pledged delegates remaining, and so Hillary CANNOT "clinch" the nomination before the convention.
I have no doubt that if the Trump/Cruz race was this close, the press would be salivating over a "contested convention" and talking about how the rules could be modified to "unpledge" the delegates, and how the superdelegates can vote however they want, and ooooh boy can't wait for the big "floor fight." Bernie hasn't dropped out, and he has pointed out that Hillary has not clinched and he is taking it to the convention, and he's resoundingly ignored by the major media.
If this was Trump/Cruz and superdelegates were at issue (GOP doesn't have superdelegage), the press would be crowing about how the superdelegates's minds could be changed, and the strategies for Cruz to upset Trump at the convention would be discussed in agonizing detail.
Add to this that Hillary cheated her way through the primaries - http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/clin ... ter-fraud/
https://thehornnews.com/hillary-cheatin ... s-arizona/The Arizona Democratic Party has officially announced that it will be investigating multiple accusations of election fraud across the state’s Democratic primary vote Tuesday, where voters who claimed to have previously registered as Democrats say their party affiliation was unknowingly changed to independent– and therefore, they weren’t allowed to cast ballots in the closed primary.
One voter posted a picture with the following explanation, “Fraud in AZ? I am a long time registered Dem. I was when I voted in Nov. and when I checked Feb. 15th. Today, Nada. Given a provisional ballot, and yes, I reported it.”

Who said it was new? A reason not to vote for Hillary is that she's the same old shit upside down.piscator wrote:Forty Two wrote:The one with the media backing wins.piscator wrote:It must've killed him to find out the one with the most votes wins...

Shit you're the one who said the one with the most votes wins -- they've declared Hillary the victory before she even clinched it, and they've claimed she's clinched it when she hasn't. And, she isn't winning because she's got the majority vote, she's winning because she has the establishment in her pocket (such that the superdelegates immediately supported her without waiting for anything), and Wall Street is in her pocket, and she cheats where she needs to in order to pull out a close victory.
