Preparation and planning for survival is in no way related to living in fear. I don't have to live in fear BECAUSE I make rational decisions about risk identification, analysis and mitigation. If those who do not do so aren't fearful it's because they are simply ignorant and oblivious to risk, which means that if and when something bad happens to them, unlike me, they will die. As I said, and as you see fit to quote, "sometimes ignorance is indeed bliss," right up until it turns around and bites you in the ass.

The purpose of pursuing such complaints with respect to your posting practices is to establish a body of proof of posting behaviors that are being consistently overlooked by the moderators so that should someone be sanctioned for posting similar content there will be comparative evidence upon which to impeach the moderator involved or at least prove bias in moderation.

Every time moderators fail to sanction your personal attacks the better the definition of the boundaries of acceptable speech and the more easily out-of-bounds moderation can be attacked for what it is.

You know as well as I do that in reality I don't give a damn if you make explicit insults towards me because I don't care about your opinion in the least, so it doesn't disturb me a bit, it does nothing more than impeach your credibility when you do it. But I'm interested in gathering evidence of biased moderation to shove down a moderator's throat should such bias go unremarked and unresolved.

So go right on testing the boundaries, I'm fine with that. In fact I encourage you to do so because if and when you cross the line it'll be YOU who gets suspended, not me. It's all data to me.

Oh, there's no doubt they are personal attacks, that much is obvious and certain and easily demonstrated, which I have done in several cases. The question is whether the moderator staff will sanction them or not, not whether or not they are personal attacks, because they are.

Me too. Sadly, thanks to JimC, those days are gone. He's managed quite nicely to quash vigorous debate by arbitrarily and capriciously expanding the definition of "personal attack" so as to intimidate members out of taking chances and pushing boundaries.

And therein lies my entire point.

It hasn't quashed vigorous debate, as you don't need to personally attack anyone to have vigorous debate.
