Not in my opinion. If it is between Cruz and Trump, I would take Trump any day of the week and twice on Sunday. It's not even close.

Trump is a buffoon and an opportunist, but Ted Cruz is truly scary.

Yep. It's Trump over Cruz by a country mile.

The problem with The Donald is you don't actually know where he stands on any issue, it's all just hot air and bullshit. He could, underneath all the bluster, be a pragmatic man. Problem is we can't know that unless we elect him, and what happens if he's actually crazier than he appears?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Bingo.

But, we can elect Hillary, and just get more of the same Wall Street crony politics. She spouts the usual mantra. And, she's owned by Goldman Sachs and the gang.

Although I am no socialist, I agree with a lot of what Sanders says.

Some Democrats seem to be switching over in order to vote for Trump in the Ohio primary --http://www.vindy.com/news/2016/mar/03/m ... ct-to-gop/

In a broader context, the 1% will not suffer under Hillary. Well maybe if they own Exxon Mobil or drug companies. The rest, no.

He's a buffoon or oaf without the stupidity connotation attached, I think. He's not stupid.

Trump is a "button pusher." What I mean by that is that he knows how to manipulate people, and how to get them to do what he wants them to do.

The thing I like about Trump is that he is non-religious, and can get Republican support. If one thing is for sure, he can show people that the Republican Party is not owned by the religious right. Maybe he's the nuclear bomb the GOP needs to jettison the religious right, and make sure that the GOP base becomes about secular issues.

Hillary is the corporatist candidate.

I would think some Democrats would love Trump. Trump is in favor of universal single-payer health care, for example. Only Trump supports it for business reasons. Single payer would be a boon to business in the near term. It would eliminate health insurance from their costs of doing business.

Scary how? <ould he try to turn 2020 US into 1690 Massachusetts?

For all that he's a buffoon, if trump tries to do half of what he promises, that's really scary

You really seem to operate by a different system of logic, sometimes. The clear point is that making fun of Jon Stewart for changing his name is dumb given his (Trump's) own ancestor changed his name (as did literally millions of other people).

As i said, you're just butthurt because a foreigner is daring to critique a Merkan.
Trump made fun of Stewart because Stewart changed his own name, which Trump declared was Stewart being embarrassed by his name. Trump's ancestor changing the Drumpf name would be Trump's ancestor being embarrassed by that name. However, Trump didn't change his name. It's always been Trump for him, and it was his father's birth name, etc.

Surely you understand that the two things are not logically similar.

I'm not butthurt because a foreigner is daring to critique a Merkan. I mean, Americans are steeped in foreign critique. Non-Americans seem to be bother more about critiquing Merka than they do about their own countries. It's not something "daring" to do. It's commonplace and normal. I think John Oliver's "takedown" of Trump was just weak. Yes yes, Trump made billions, but wasn't successful at all his ventures. He's a rich guy, and his companies have been sued. He says things that are arguably not true, or he changes his position here and there, and he is egotistical and a loudmouth. And, a few generations back one of his ancestors changed the family name. He's soooooo far less qualified to be a Presidential candidate than the establishment politicians that have run for the last several decades..... consider Trump skewered....oooooohhhh yeahhhhhh!
You clearly don't understand rhetoric.
You are accusing me of not understanding language which is intended to persuade people of something, but which may not be quite honest or reasonable?
Yes, because Oliver's point wasn't to be fully honest and reasonable. It was to denigrate Trump. It's a comedy show, ffs.

Yeah, that's the big dilemma.

Bernie Sander's is ultimately going to be way more liberal than a crony capitalist. He's not going to be full on liberal, but if I was a liberal I'd vote for him. His policies can't be any worse than handing out massive corporate welfare and allowing predatory behaviour to occur in the financial sector (and other sectors).

Yes, but there really is a Guam primary, which is the part I find funny.
