Sure. That's why Cabelas pays kids to shoot up schools.

Cabela's ia in trouble, not enough gun sales. maybe the clothing and shit just is not enough income. I have no Cabela's so was forced to buy laced boots at Scheel's, a competitor. It's my only birding gear (walk thru wetlands) with camo on it.

I usually buy more specialized clothing and footwear than what Cabelas sells, being affluent enough to have a little designer uniform for just about everything...

Cabelas opened a store in ANC a few years ago. Not as big as Sydney or Mitchell, but at least as big as the nearby Target. They pay a little better and do more in the community than Walmart, especially around Iron Dog & Iditarod.

A fun way to kill a rainy day in Anchorage is to tour the outdoor stores - Cabelas, Sportsman's Warehouse, Wiggy's, REI, Alaska Mountaineering and Hiking, Eagle Outfitters, Peter Glenn, Barney's, SkiAk, The North Face, ArmyNavy Store, 6th Ave Outfitters, Ak Mining & Diving, Mountain View Sports, Bass Pro Shops - in about that order, from south to north.

"Guns?" you say? Cub scout den mothers here pack 12ga shotguns with rifle sights and extended mags. We have gun stores with their own TV reality shows.

They mostly leave them at home when they're at work. There's more guns in Alaska than Pakistan. Hippies pack guns here.
I only own 10, and about 1k rounds laying around in waterproof ammo boxes with desiccants. Lightweight, but I'm a musician.

I have shot a hyena because he wouldn't stop laughing while a man lay nearby, dying on a cot. He wasn't even a good man, but even men who aren't particularly good should be allowed to die in peace and quiet. I have argued about cigarettes with a gunner's mate, only to duck away from incoming German fire. When I returned to finish the argument, I found half the gunner's mate completely vanished. We had taken the cigarettes from the dead body of a lieutenant, his skin deeply yellowed from mustard gas. Our argument was whether or not it was safe to smoke cigarettes taken from a body killed by mustard gas. Now it seemed silly to argue this with the half of the gunner's mate that remained. He would never argue again, about cigarettes or mustard gas or anything else.
