I guess Trump winning isn't shocking, that's fairly close to the numbers he's been polling. Not sure what's more surprising, Kasich in second at almost 16%, or a 3 way tie for Cruz, Bush, and Rubio at around 10% each. Christie is probably going to drop out, Fiorina probably will too. Carson may be too stubborn.

Trump (won) 35.1%
Kasich 15.9%
Cruz 11.6%
Bush 11.1%
Rubio 10.6%
Christie 7.5%
Fiorina 4.2%
Carson 2.3%
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

No what is shocking is that Trump is one of the most liberal of the candidates. He has just changed his tune to get popularity.

Trump said he's going to make America maybe greater than it has ever been! Only 'maybe' though....

Nate Silver has Trump the favorite in South Carolina by far. He is 55% favored to win. The rest are down under 20% chances to win.

Trump as Prez would be like Ventura as governator:
Governor Ventura sparked media criticism when, nearing the end of his term, he suggested that he might resign from office early to allow his lieutenant governor, Mae Schunk, an opportunity to serve as governor. He further stated that he wanted her to be the state's first female governor and have her portrait painted and hung in the Capitol along with the other governors. Ventura quickly retreated from the comments, saying he was just floating an idea.
(Except without the female)

The retreat from the middle ground has begun.

Would someone like to predict a date for the start of the Second American Civil War?

Christie and Fiorina dropped out.
Heard reported that Trump had a long phone conversation with Christie, apparently they sort of get along. I'm thinking Christie endorses Trump, and Trump makes Christie attorney general.
Christie served as the Chief Federal Law Enforcement Officer in New Jersey from January 17, 2002, to December 1, 2008. His office included 137 attorneys, with offices in Newark, Trenton, and Camden.
During his eight-year tenure, he received praise for his record of convictions in public corruption cases. His office convicted or won guilty pleas from 130 public officials, both Republican and Democratic, at the state, county and local levels
And I have a feeling he will be a quite busy AG going after former Obama appointees :{D

SC Republican primary the 20th, and Democratic on the 27th. Nevada Dem is 20th, GOP 27th.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

:thinks: I do think that the US could be just about self sufficient with oil/natural gas through fracking. We could totally pull out of the entire middle east and wash our hands of it. Surely some "socialism-lite" fracking subsidies is cheaper than policing the middle east.....

socialism is not about corporate subsidies... self sufficiency is not a good thing if it's obtained through corp welfare at the expense of programs that could actually benfit people, like improving health care or education.
