Democrat Primaries/Caucuses Discussions, Jokes, Predictions
Re: Democrat Primaries/Caucuses Discussions, Jokes, Predicti
You said, you were interested in debating "socialism". And I am telling you the only sensible debate about "socialism" which would be on topic are models like the Scandinavian ones - social democratic. If this is hard to understand, no wonder you guys post what you post and as i said your arguments or what it is .. shout in dark with images ? .. are shit and ignorant.

I did? Where did I say that?
But, your suggestion is that we should use capitalist economies as examples of socialist economies?

Let me just note that this kind of discourse insults me and forget it. I want to be green not mad. I do not care what you guys do there. I just question your material here and your political system simply because it can be questioned. If you want to shoot each other with guns I do not care. If you want to let people live on streets I do not care. If you want to vote Mr Trump as pres I dont care. But dont post shit, because chances are you will eat it back.

You're the only one being insulting here, tuco. I mean, really. The nerve of you. You sit there wagging your finger at others (who just posted humorous comments, by the way), and declaring them ignorant, stupid and "don't know shit," etc. And, you want to cry about discourse that "insults" you? FFS....
I don't know what you mean by wanting to be green, and I also do not care what you guys do wherever you are.
You question our "material?" What material?
You can question our political system all you want -- it's one of the most scrutinized and debated systems around. There is no shortage of questioning of the American system, that much is sure.
I don't care if you want to shoot each other with guns either, or let people live on the streets, although that seems rather a strange non sequitur.

Re: Democrat Primaries/Caucuses Discussions, Jokes, Predicti
As noted, that is matter of opinion. You can call me anything you like and it will not insult me. What insults me, for example, is posting quote in picture out of context. Then saying you care .. for argument about "socialism" then saying "Where did I say ..?". I am being honest, its insulting to me.
I assume debaters are adult, educated and intelligent and behave as such. The low-lever bickering, ever present, insults me.
Explain to me, how this post:
is relevant to the topic. How adult, educated and intelligent it is. Please do, if you care ..., because I cant see it and from my point of view its insulting that you communicate with me this way. Its like if you had me for an idiot because ... that material is shit, ignorant and out of context.

As are most viewpoints.tuco wrote:As noted, that is matter of opinion.
That's your opinion.tuco wrote: You can call me anything you like and it will not insult me.
We weren't in the midst of a political discussion. I was exchanging humorous posts with Laklak.tuco wrote: What insults me, for example, is posting quote in picture out of context.
You're confusing different questions. You said that you didn't want to be asked to further your argument and you said that I didn't care anyway. I do care about you furthering your argument.tuco wrote: Then saying you care .. for argument about "socialism" then saying "Where did I say ..?". I am being honest, its insulting to me.
The only bickering is coming from you. above, with the pictures, laklak and I were bantering.tuco wrote: I assume debaters are adult, educated and intelligent and behave as such. The low-lever bickering, ever present, insults me.

"The" topic? This thread is about Democrat Primaries/Caucuses - Discussions, Jokes and Predictions. Bernie Sanders is a Democrat candidate for President and is involved in the Caucuses and primaries and the exchange between laklak and I was a bit of pointed jabbing at Bernie Sanders.
It was a short post combined into an exchange between posters here poking fun at Bernie Sanders. Surely, it's o.k. to poke fun at the Bern?tuco wrote: How adult, educated and intelligent it is.
You keep saying that, but you never explain what's wrong with it. All quotes, by definition, are out of context. However, the basic gist of what de Tocqueville was writing was that there was an irreconcilable conflict between democracy and socialism. Democracy attaches value to each person individually, whereas socialism makes each person a mere agent of the State. It's the same quote Hayek used in "Road to Serfdom." If you would like to explain the context you're referring to, then please, by all means, explain it.tuco wrote:

Saying "your material is shit" is not a rebuttal of the material, and calling it "ignorant" is, well, an insult to Alexis De Tocqueville, who cannot be counted as ignorant on this topic. Out of context is for you to show -- does the quote mean something different than what it says when in context? I have an English translation of de Tocqueville's original "Discours..." from which the quote is drawn. But, since you already know that it's "out of context" you must already be quite familiar with that writing. I'll let ;you work from your copy, or the online translation. Shall I hold my breath while I wait?

Re: Democrat Primaries/Caucuses Discussions, Jokes, Predicti
Oh jabbing .. well, that is beyond my abilities to detect. My fault then. Alexis de Tocqueville died in 1859 according to Google. Of course he is ignorant. That is problem with many if not all historical thinkers. They lack knowledge we have today thus their wisdom is often lacking, in todays world. OK I am green, no hard feelings?

edit: That is why I proposed comparison. To the Scandinavian, social democratic, the only socialism to have sensible debate about on the topic ... etc.

Regarding ... housing
Got me interested.
What is the issue? I found this, for example:
How Bernie Sanders Made Burlington Affordable

this:
or (not) this:

I admit I am ignorant of Berine and much of the US environment. Still, what, or rather why, .. jabbing? I am really sorry .. I am not but .. I do not get it. Seems serious to me. Jabbing makes it reality show imo. OK I try to stfu now.

this:
http://www.ontheissues.org/2016/Bernie_ ... overty.htmIt is unacceptable that in one of the wealthiest countries in the world as many as 3.5 million Americans experience homelessness over the course of a year. In 2013, the Department of Housing and Urban Development estimated that on any given night, over 600,000 Americans are homeless. It is unacceptable that so many Americans are living on the streets. We must increase affordable housing and work to reduce homelessness among veterans.

Jabbing makes it a reality show? So, nobody jabs at other political candidates? Or, is Bernie immune?

Some places in NH open their polling stations at midnight tonight (8th), but most won't open till tomorrow morning. I wouldn't expect any results till tomorrow night.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I think we may be seeing a strong polarisation in US politics.
Bernie vs Trump...
The evil marxist apparatchik vs the fascist monster...

Nate Silver's outfit is predicting Sanders to win New Hampshire to a near certainty -- 99%. LOL. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/ele ... emocratic/

Comrade Sanders 60.0%
Clinton 38.4%
The only demographic Hillary one was the over 65 crowd. Sanders did a lot better than most polls indicated before the vote, Hillary must be pissed. Wonder who she is going to fire first

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
