Yet, that is precisely what Trump announced he is going to do. In light of the question you posed here let me ask again: Are you seriously suggesting that a candidate for the US presidency is suitable for the job when one of his few concretely announced policies is to expel all of the 10 or 15 million Mexicans, build a 3,145 km (1,954 miles) long wall to keep them out and make Mexico pay for it?
Candidates spouting nonsense that couldn't possibly work and which has no chance of ever happening in order to rile up the masses? I've never heard of a politician doing that....

What gives you the impression that Trump was not serious about those proposals?

And the "temporary" ban on Muslims, tariffs on Chinese goods, reduction of foreign IT workers, and the death of political correctness.

I don't think in Trump's case it's correct to say he's flip flopping on issues. I think it's just he's an incoherent ignoramus who is going out there with no specific plan and just winging it all the time, not even paying heed to what he's saying, let alone remembering it.

I think there's pretty good consensus that he is (or at least was) more liberal than his current rhetoric suggests. I think he's simply playing the electorate for fools. We've had a billionaire buffoon doing the same thing here in Australia politics for the last few years. Very similar, except without all the racism and misogyny. His whole gig is unravelling now. The difference is, he didn't get quite the power a US prez has, although he did hold the balance of power in the senate until his senators started quitting the party in droves.

Yes. My point is that he doesn't really have any coherent issues. What looks like flip flopping is just him not knowing what he's talking about and making it up as he goes along from one debate or rally to the next.

Seems, he does not need to have any coherent issues. Whatever works.

All these can be coherent or rather analysed in appropriate fashion. That quite a number of people do not require "coherence", is not imo Mr Trumps problem.

He's certainly not as misogynistic as Bill Clinton was, and his record in his businesses with women was actually very, very good. He hired women for prominent positions consistently for 30+years, and his companies have more female executives than men (according to Trump's corporate General Counsel). He's made some arguably sexist comments, about women's appearance and such, but he seems equal opportunity in that regard, also making comments on men's appearance. The difference is that making comments on women's appearance is not acceptable, but nobody really cares about comments about a guy's appearance.

You'll have to be specific on the racism. I'm aware of anti-illegal immigration comments, and comments about Mexican immigrants, but they weren't racist per se. Being against Mexican immigration, particularly illegal immigration, is not racism. It's like calling being against illegal French immigration into the UK "racism."
