There are more job not-seekers than there are job seekers and there's 12 million jobs out there for job seekers who have a right to work in the US that they can take from those who do not have a right to work in the US and who need to be induced to hike back across the border to their own countries.

But, to demonstrate my charitable impulses I'll agree that job not-seekers and unsuccessful job seekers can get government food and government shelter issued to them in return for performing menial and unpleasant public make-work tasks on a daily basis, eight hours a day, five days a week.

They report for work at 9 am and end work at 5pm and in return they get breakfast, lunch and dinner and a cot in a Sheriff Joe tent city constructed from surplus US military tentage, a shower twice a week and a government-issued set of coveralls that they turn in twice a week for clean ones, a pair of socks and military surplus boots.

On weekends they get liberty to leave the camp. They can leave the camp at any time of course, this isn't a slave program, but if they do, they don't ever get another fucking dime of public money.

And they can choose if they like to attend government-run vocational educational programs intended to provide them with marketable skills for a limited time, and subject to getting good grades, in lieu of manual labor. As an additional benefit, those who successfully pass the vocational courses will be assisted in finding employment or they may opt to continue their educations to improve their skills and knowledge even more, contingent upon maintaining at least a B average. They can do this right through graduating with a Bachleor's degree if they like...but a bachelor's degree in a field selected by the government according to their assessed skills and the needs of the government and society for that particular skill set...which means there will be no more liberal arts, MBAs or law degrees for about the next hundred years or so and all such educations will focus on science, engineering, math and other hard science subjects so as to prepare those who show themselves worthy of a government paid for education to be useful to society.

THAT I'm willing to pay my fair share of providing.

Don't want to work or don't want to get educated? Then you're fucking your own future and I won't shed a tear.

Nobody said it was easy. However, the way to start is for the legal job-seekers to go out and survey their neighborhoods and the workers therein and identify employers who hire illegals and then picket them and make complaints to the government demanding that they fire illegals and hire Americans. If they don't want to fight for their jobs, fuck 'em.

And of course they aren't interested in doing so because the government pays them more as welfare dependents than they could make in the available jobs, so why should they go to work. Cut off those welfare benefits and hunger will very quickly stimulate them to be more industrious and dedicated to finding work.

In the US everyone is legally required to have health insurance. Period. That's the law. If you don't have health insurance, you are in violation of federal law.

People generally get health insurance with their jobs in the US -- like 80 something percent of the population is covered through employer provided health plans. Of those who are not covered that way, they have to buy a health plan. Instead of taxing people for it, and then providing it by the government, people have to figure out an insurance policy by buying one. The law says, however, that depending on your income you can get subsidized health insurance.

People with little or no income can get Medicaid, and people with lower incomes who don't qualify for Medicaid can get dirt cheap insurance -- but, they have incomes, so they pay SOMETHING toward their insurance. Those with zero income or very low incomes, however, are eligible for free insurance and/or Medicaid.

Children are always entitled to free health insurance under SCHIP.

My daughter just got a new health insurance policy, she pays $96 a month for it. It's a "Silver" plan, so it's pretty good, but not top tier. She's single and makes about $36K a year, so she ain't rich but she's certainly not poverty stricken.

I think that's pretty civilized.
