Well I have read articles in newspapers by a variety of mainstream feminists who indeed criticise the extremists in their (very broad) movement, so it does happen.

To "ostracise", though, is akin to a child throwing a tantrum; much better to produce a robust critique. Anyway, ostracise in what sense? It's not as if feminism is a political party, with a defined membership and rules which mean you can be thrown out of the party...

Eh? Even if I wasn't a free speech absolutist I would want feminist voices to be heard, give them TV, radio and print, hell give them the biggest platform, stage, megaphone ever.
