Funny how religious fundies hate science, except when it's in their own car, or tv, or pacemaker, or heart transplant.

I seem to remember people thinking that humans would suffocate if a train ever went over twenty MPH.
And a car had to have a man walking in front, waving a red flag.

Probably one of Seth's ancestors.

I told you so:

Cern’s Large Hadron Collider has been operating at highest capability in recent months in search of miniature black holes.

These are said to be a key sign of a ‘multiverse'.

If scientists are able to detect mini black holes are at the LHC at the predicted energies, it could prove the existence of extra dimensions and by extension, parallel universes.

'Just as many parallel sheets of paper, which are two dimensional objects (breath and length) can exist in a third dimension (height), parallel universes can also exist in higher dimensions,' Cern employee Mir Faizal from the University of Waterloo told Dailymail.com.

'We predict that gravity can leak into extra dimensions, and if it does, then miniature black holes can be produced at the LHC.'

The LHC's record high energy now makes it possible to look for these mini black holes, and energy gravity may be even tracked disappearing into them.

The new 'gravity's rainbow' theory, which says that space and time curve differently for particles of different energy, could explain why the LHC has yet to find any of these black holes.

And if gravity from this dimension can "leak" into "extra dimensions" then gravity might leak from other universes or dimensions into this one, thus sustaining mini black holes, which could eventually result in the entire planet being swallowed up.

Did you catch the google hangout a week ago about gravitational waves? Would've blown your mind and fed your paranoia for decades to come..

You have zero understanding of "mini black holes"

If you did (which would require a solid grounding in maths and physics), you would realise that they are nothing like astronomical black holes, and represent no danger whatsoever.

And that's exactly how much understanding of mini black holes the scientists at CERN or anywhere else have: zero.

All they have is speculation and hypothesis because not one swinging dick among them has ever seen a black hole of any kind, much less manipulated one.

Bullshit. You have no fucking idea about physics, or what scientists know or don't know. You betray your appalling ignorance with every post on this topic.

You know.. I just read the wikipedia article on micro black holes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_black_hole).. and it's pretty good. I understood it quite well and I'm just a layperson - the article on the Schwarzchild radius (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwarzschild_radius) is also very good. Hawking Radiation.. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawking_radiation) also well written and understandable to the layperson like me.

Check out gravitational waves (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitational_wave) and correlate that with LISA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolved_L ... ce_Antenna) and you can get an idea of the cool things science has learned about black holes, space-time, and other shit while you've been.. asleep or whatever.

Speaking of Schwarzschild radius.. here's something that should blow your mind - the Schwarzschild radius of our entire observable universe is... 13.7 billion light years. Pretty fucking cool huh?

Which means that our Universe is a black hole. :dunno:
