I'll give you a clue: physics is not the same as science fiction...
And what the fuck do you know about black holes, pray tell? Nobody, and I mean nobody knows what happens inside the event horizon of a black hole, not even Stephen Hawking.

Shall we trust the existence of the planet to something that you do not actually understand merely because you think you understand it?

I think not.

When you get back from your trip inside the event horizon and can certify that it is impossible for a black hole to grow and swallow the earth, then, and only then will you be permitted to play with one.

Have a nice trip, see you later...much, much later.

What do you think happens at the event horizon? AFAIK they act as matter shredders - crumbling all matter down to its subatomic constituents.. I have a personal suspicion that there is an invisible corona of light right at the event horizon - just where it travels fast enough to avoid being consumed but not so fast it can escape the gravity-well in space-time created by the black hole..

I mean that's just shit I dream up though.. a physicist or mathematician could probably set you straight.

I don't know, but it wasn't I who postulated that CERN could potentially create a black hole, it was other scientists.

I simply think that great care is called for when meddling with the fundamental forces of the universe when you don't know what you're doing.

No worries, we're not going to create a black hole. Fuck, we can't even cook a planet properly. We're a long way away from a fully operational Death Star.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

The problem is that we probably couldn't create a black hole if we tried to do so, but we might create one accidentally while trying to do something else, something humans are notorious for doing, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.

The funny thing is that Seth seems to equate a micro black hole, that could possibly, in theory, be created for a micro instant, with the giant at the centre of the Milky Way.
The only dangerous thing about a black hole is it's enormous gravity, and gravity is the weakest force in the universe. By an order of billions and billions. And gravity is directly related to the mass of the object.

I'm billions and squillions of times more massive than a couple of protons, or whatever they use at Cern.
But I'm not sucking in matter due to my gravity. The gravitational force exerted by a couple of protons is almost infinitely small. There's no chance that it could have an effect on another particle.
Also, as Jim said, a black hole of that size would evaporate in a squillionth of a second.

Anyway, if Seth is prepared with the risk to people's lives by giving everyone a gun to carry, he can hardly protest about the "danger" of creating a micro black hole. They have the "right" to do what the fuck they like.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Indeed. But your critique assumes without evidence that the only place a black hole can get mass is from the universe in which it is created, and from the dimensions that we humans can perceive. What about mass from all those other dimensions and universes? What if a quantum black hole can connect to mass somewhere else? "But there's no evidence of that" you say? Well, yes, but then again humanity has never been within a hundred light years of ANY black hole, and we know next to nothing about all the other dimensions and universes which are, or may be out there, so in the absence of evidence it's prudent not to create black holes anywhere near Earth until we know exactly what will happen through actual experimentation, not theorizing.
I'm billions and squillions of times more massive than a couple of protons, or whatever they use at Cern.

Actually, you are. Any object with mass will "suck in matter" to some degree or another.
The gravitational force exerted by a couple of protons is almost infinitely small. There's no chance that it could have an effect on another particle.
And you know that how, exactly? Are you God? Do you have perfect knowledge of this and every other universe and dimension?

Also, as Jim said, a black hole of that size would evaporate in a squillionth of a second.
Or so the scientists think. Then again they've never been anywhere close to a black hole and have no idea what actually goes on inside one, so their predictions are just that, predictions. That being the case, I'd prefer if they would create their quantum black hole somewhere else, so that if something does go wrong the whole planet isn't at risk.
Anyway, if Seth is prepared with the risk to people's lives by giving everyone a gun to carry, he can hardly protest about the "danger" of creating a micro black hole. They have the "right" to do what the fuck they like.
"Gun control" is hitting your target. Nobody knows how to control a black hole.

And therein lies the problem with CERN and scientists in general, they are arrogant pricks who think they know everything and don't give a flying continental fuck about anyone or anything but their own religious orthodoxy.
