The Anti-Defamation League criticised the advertising for its lack of context.
"On the television program, which explains this is the notion of an America controlled by Hitler, you get that context. On the train, seeing the American flag paired with a Nazi symbol is viscerally offensive because there is no context as to what it means. The fact that the flag is spread across the seats only compounds the effect."
Lack of context? Ever seen a fucking Calvin Klein advertisement? Fuck off.

That might also lack context.

The American moral conscience needs protection. Actually this High Castle movie could represent psychological leakage? :read:

That's sociology of the Oedipal in a nutshell - the cure is schizophrenia.. and cock, or pussy.. both actually. Maybe even at the same time at a big party. :cheer:

On the surface it appears like it could be a major breakthrough, but let's not allow optimism to seep into the bunker just yet eh. Most people have an intuitive grasp of relativity, and certainly the newtonian, but quantum superpositioning? Not so much. Your average person doesn't understand quantum physics, and you always fear what you don't understand.

Well I don't quite get delocalized eigenstates, but they don't frighten me.
Should they?

No, but you have the internet and the will to use it. I just googled eigenstates and in less than 10 seconds caught your drift. I not trying to be a prick, or pitch wooey concepts at you, but try doing that with schizoanalysis and post-structuralism re harmonious sociological concepts as transexuality writ on the social scale. Google can't translate that.

I'm just using metaphors for complex sociological, psychological, and philosophical concepts as I see them as particularly valid in formulating a sharper strategy to tackle the culture-clash that I believe is causing a lot of the troubles in the world, the best I can do is try to bridge a discussion analogically. It also avoids a clinical discussion of particular theories, from whatever discipline, while allowing for open discussion of the concepts themselves. That was the problem I had with Apophenia - she was hugely literate but just wanted to fence with theory instead of discussing concepts.

I lapse into colloquialism because it makes the whole thing much more fun and ameliorates the philosophy-phobia that is so much in vogue these days. If people don't want to talk, I can objectify and act insane - using the community to whiteboard. I used to do that a lot, but I don't really enjoy doing that to people and most people don't enjoy it either.. Basically I'm just trying to have a conversation which, ironically (recursion alert), is my entire point to start with.

Yes, but can an infinite Thue-Morse chain be calculated by its exact electronic Green function using a real-space renormalization-group approach?

I don't follow. Could you phrase the question in the form of an orgy?

Never mind, I get it. I've been working in relative isolation for so long on this stuff I forgot how silly I can get with it. My bad.
