Does any US health insurance cover abortions?

That question just occurred to me, so I googled it and this came up, among others :

https://www.healthinsurance.org/faqs/do ... -abortion/
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

I don't have any data or anecdotes for Ohio or Missouri where we had insurance. There was one case of a family friend who had a dead fetus called "missed abortion." The procedure is to remove the dead fetus before the 9 months when it wold eject. The insurance paid for it and there was no issue as it was not a live fetus.

I'm not sure that the 9 months comes into it with a dead fetus. Presumably it will stop growing as soon as it's dead, and pretty soon turn toxic, so it would either self-abort or cause a fatal infection.

I'm sure that any health insurance would cover the removal of that. Well, it would be a real scandal if it didn't.

I don't think it was a danger

it's just a diagnosis of a fetus that would miscarry at some point. The woman was saved some months as she did get pregnant and have a normal child soon after, within a year if I remember right.
