We need common sense. A return to the nation state enough so that borders and resilience to cultural invasion are restored to the map. Not so much that war happens again in Europe. A healthy mutual respect. Slightly less economically efficient and lots more safe. Keeping what works, trade. And dumping what doesn't, mass migration. I'm all for the free movement of peoples as individuals especially in expensive high skill industries - it is when there are large scale movements, troubles begin....wage suppression, cultural colonisation and violent civil unrest. There should be quotas for migration according to local economic and cultural circumstances, best determined at the level of the nation state. A return to what worked so well in the 70s, 80s and 90s...not a wholesale return to nationalisms, more a realistic retrenchment. And who knows? in a century if the ME straitens out etc maybe room to try again?

Paris attacks: 'Prepare for Welsh casualties'

The first minister has warned people to be prepared for the possibility that there might be Welsh victims of the "horrific" Paris attacks.

Carwyn Jones was part of the emergency Cobra meeting convened by David Cameron on Saturday morning after nearly 130 people were killed in the French city.
To show solidarity, the Senedd will be lit up in the colours of the tricolour on Saturday and Sunday nights.

It comes as Welsh people in Paris have described their panic and fear.
