Post by Jason » Mon Nov 02, 2015 8:47 pm

"CBS Television Studios announced today it will launch a totally new Star Trek television series in January 2017. The new series will blast off with a special preview broadcast on the CBS Television Network. The premiere episode and all subsequent first-run episodes will then be available exclusively in the United States on CBS All Access, the Network’s digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service.

The next chapter of the Star Trek franchise will also be distributed concurrently for television and multiple platforms around the world by CBS Studios International."

CBS stocks have slumped by 20% since the start of the year. They be clutching at straws - and with low profits this year it is likely to be a budget Enterprise deal running on a third rate graphics engine and full of unknowns retrieved from the second draw down of the unemployed actors bin...would you trust a budget teleporter having seen The Fly?

I loved DS9 (and of course TNG)! Even Voyager was good for a while, but then Enterprise...I don't know, but of course I'll give it a chance anyway :cheer:

Sounds like the first season of TNG.

Q is like Dr Who in the sense that different actors could play the same role. Would be nice to see a cameo appearance though, wouldn't it?

True, but like everyone has one 'doctor' I don't see how John de Lancie could ever be replaced. A cameo would be pretty awesome though. :)

True, though Harrison Ford is Han Solo and Indiana Jones, still it's probably better to find a new Q. Maybe Zachary Quinto. :hehe:
