We have a quiz show here in the UK called 'Pointless'. It is quite popular, amateurish and a tad flaky.
It occurred to me as I caught the last five minutes of it earlier that it is impossible to imagine a TV show called Pointless having any sort of following in the USA. I don't draw any conclusions from that other than the British have a fairly highly tuned sense of the futility of things.

Yeah, I think it would do well in the US. I'm actually surprised they haven't yet. Although maybe they have and it just failed really quickly
