What the fuck, seriously. Whilst free speech is being attacked everywhere in the West and especially a universities and academia. Anyone would have though Rationalia would be thriving. So way the malaise? It can't even be blamed on the religious though any secular religious people have been chased away from here. It looks like rationalia is still full of ideologues who reject science when it makes them uncomfortable. Which is a shame (and pathetic.) It just means that the right wingers (outside of America, where the right are the loons) have the platform to themselves. I'm glad I'm old as this would have worried me when I was young. Luckily I don't care about the left anymore because if jumping in a clown car and driving off a cliff is a good strategy then I'm lost. Given ratskep decent into atheism+ why aren't Ratz the beneficiaries, I'll bet that this place is just as full of anti-science ideologues isn't just a small part of it.
