When will war break out between Osborne and Cameron?

Post by mistermack » Fri Aug 14, 2015 9:55 am

People seem to have forgotten that Cameron vowed to stand down as Prime Minister, before the next general election.
That can only be part of a deal, between him and George Osborne.
Like the famous Blair/Brown deal that went hugely sour.

I can't see Cameron following through on that pledge. Once the time gets near, and the Labour party are in the dust, and there is no prospect whatsoever of a tight general election.

He's going to re-think that pledge. It will be too much of a temptation.
The only thing that might sway him to keep it, is if he's on a promise of a multi-million pound job in banking or similar, when he leaves.
And that might not be enough, if the opinion polls are making a Tory win a certainty.

So look out for a chilling of relations at the top, as Cameron starts to hint that he's having second thoughts.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Cameron will use any bad numbers to be rid of Osborne at first opportunity. He doesn't like pressure. Wants to go holiday and know his office is still there on return.

I can just picture this war...

"If the right honourable gentleman will check the details of the bill, he will realise that I am rubber and that the right honourable gentleman himself is glue."
"The right honourable gentleman's mother."
"As the house is aware, my mother passed away recently."
etc..

War will break out when Cameron is asked whether he's backing Boris or the Baron for the leadership.

George Osborne reminds me of Piers Fletcher-Dervish in the "New Statesman".
The voice is a dead ringer, (although he's working on it, it comes back when he forgets).

And he's just as sniveling as Dervish. Can't imagine him as Prime Minister, although the people won't get a say.
