However, I agree that even that would be a rather absurd form of censorship. But, without accepting any form of censorship, the bulk of the article is simply a reasoned critique of the aspects of the film which are sympathetic towards racist attitudes; such a critique is simply part of intellectual discourse about items of culture...

As far as I can tell, nobody has asked for the banning of Gone with the Wind, nor the banning of the Confederate flag, but people have rightly demanded that the symbol for those who went to war in the attempt to preserve their right to own slaves be removed from all town halls and any other official government buildings.
