You posted it in the wrong forum. Try some MRA site. The members there will probably enjoy expressions of moronic misogyny. Even inchoate and excessively wordy ones written by a drunk who can't handle his alcohol intake all that well.DaveDodo007 wrote:I'm still pissed off nobody enjoyed my ripping yarn above.

I'm not a MRA I don't even like them apart from their concern about boys who nobody gives a fuck about including you. Though almighty Hermit show me quotes of their moronic misogyny, quotes please as I like to see evidence unlike you (what with being skeptic an all). This is not even taking into account how much misardry I can find on feminists sites, feminist theory and from leading feminists. So do it as I'm waiting, you wont because it is all in your delusional head but please surprise me.Hermit wrote:You posted it in the wrong forum. Try some MRA site. It is maybe because I'm a scientist that I expect claims to be backed up with evidence and I hold people to the same standards that I hold myself, so I suspect you will now vanish from this thread knowing you can't back up your delusional bullshit, so bye, liar.

Read your posts. They are one continuous, whimpering chain of complaints that women are bitches and that they are oppressing decent menfolk - quintessential MRA stuff.DaveDodo007 wrote:Show me the evidence

Um, turns out, after the recent release of many previously classified documents, that McCarthy was absolutely right and utterly correct in each and every particular with respect to the infiltration of Communists in the US government and his identification of those spies, agents and fellow-travelers, including specifically the individual, Fred Fisher your misquote happens to refer to, who was confirmed by the original author of that quote, Joseph N. Welch, who did not deny Fisher's association with a Communist front group, but tried to pass it off as a "youthful indiscretion" and refused to answer McCarthy's substantive questions about Fisher's loyalty, because, as the author of "Blacklisted by History", M. Stanton Evans proved, Fisher was indeed both a member of the Communist front group and a Communist sympathizer with deep connections within the US government who was a part of the actual "vast conspiracy" of Communist infiltration and attack upon the United States during the Cold War...and continuing even today.DaveDodo007 wrote:WOW, fucking, WOW. So, when you invoke "McCarthyism" what you are actually invoking is a defender of truth and justice making true statements that are dismissed, covered up, rejected and the defender vilified and personally attacked for daring to speak the truth by those with a vested interest in using Alinsky/Marxist attack rhetoric to derail the truth.

Seriously, what goes on in your head? Are you projecting or something. Please show were I have ever said women are bitches and/or oppressing men. I have no time for feminists and I don't hold back on calling them what they are, aka man hating cunts. This equivocation of women = feminist is the sort of tactic creationist employ. Though you can't justify your ideology so you have to employ dishonest tactics just like the religious creationist you resemble.Hermit wrote:Read your posts. I have seen this, though it doesn't justify the anti-free speech stance and ruining peoples lives just because they have a different view point than you. Democratic capitalism is better than that and doesn't need to sink so low (leave that to the leftys). So I'm glad he was called out on his us vs them bullshit.Seth wrote:

Re: Here's one for DaveDodo!
It wasn't about "a different point of view" it was about Communists trying to destroy the United States. We were at war with Communism, a very real war in which people died all the time. It was a covert war with spies killing spies, but it was absolutely a war and one which very nearly destroyed the entire planet. At the time the Soviet Union was actively infiltrating our government and our military for the purpose of stealing our technology and secrets so that they could, hopefully, destroy us and impose worldwide Communism. This wasn't a difference of opinion, it was an antithetical sociopolitical attack on the foundations of our nation and our essential liberties and rights that posed a very real and present threat to the United States. Being a Communist was at the time (and still should be) a criminal offense if you were an employee of the federal government, and espionage, murder, theft and other spy activities were also crimes that occurred every day.DaveDodo007 wrote:I have seen this, though it doesn't justify the anti-free speech stance and ruining peoples lives just because they have a different view point than you.Seth wrote:

The Congress passed laws making it unlawful to be a Communist while employed by the federal government and it was necessary to root out these Communists while protecting the reputations and jobs of loyal non-Communists in order to preserve our government and Constitution.
You could be a Communist in private life and you could espouse Communism, you just couldn't hold a government job if you were a Communist. And you couldn't participate in espionage, even as a co-conspirator or accessory to espionage, as the Communist spies the Rosenburgs discovered.
And that was what McCarthy was rooting out; Communist spies, infiltrators, sympathizers, conspirators, accessories and fellow-travelers with connections to the US government at a time when the loss of state secrets to the Communists could, and eventually did place the entire planet at risk of destruction.
He was doing what President Truman and the Congress asked him to do, as did the HOUSE members of the HOUSE Committee on UnAmerican Activities. McCarthy was a SENATOR who investigated Communist infiltration of the military and government.Democratic capitalism is better than that and doesn't need to sink so low (leave that to the leftys). So I'm glad he was called out on his us vs them bullshit.
You may be conflating the "Hollywood Blacklist" with the government investigations. Keep in mind that the Hollywood blacklisting of Communists in the entertainment industry was NOT performed by or even requested by the government, it was decisions made by Hollywood producers, directors and actors themselves, sua sponte, to expunge Communist influences in Hollywood, which was entirely within their right to do. Nobody's guaranteed a job as a Hollywood writer, director or actor. If you're a Communist and movie patrons don't like Communists, then you're fucked, but you fucked yourself by choosing Communism and politics over your entertainment career. As somebody said to the Dixie Chicks, "Shut up and sing."
McCarthy had nothing whatever to do with the public uprising and outing of Communists outside of the federal government. His ONLY concern was Communists actually in the government, and the military, who were engaged in espionage and warlike acts against the US.
