Could You Own Half The Worlds Wealth And Remain Sane?
Imagine you owned half the worlds wealth? You'd be like a God. How would you handle it? What would you do?

What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

I can't imagine owning that much... at that point, sanity is moot any way... just look at Howard Hughes or Scrooge Mc Duck

Spend it on cheap booze and cheaper women. Lots and lots of them.
Plus I'd start a colony on Mars, invent FTL travel, get fusion power online, and buy a Nordhavn trawler.

Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Hadn't thought of that, and I would like to keep my kidneys. OK, cheap booze and one expensive woman.
What would I do with a bunch of women anyway? I can't handle one of the beasts.
I'm still buying the Nordhavn.

I would soon come to own every gin distillery on Earth!
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
And my gin!

Probably depends on how you came by it. What it would take to acquire it yourself might lead you to be stingy with it because it's the fruit of your labor. If it was given to you however, you might be willing to share it and use it for good works, so long as you have enough to make yourself happy, which for most people is a very modest amount.

I'd cultivate a big white goatee and baleful stare like Uncle Sam, because that's who I'd be.

I don't consider wealth earned through extortion to be genuine wealth. And neither will the markets come the day of the crash.piscator wrote:Scumple wrote:Imagine you owned half the worlds wealth? You'd be like a God. How would you handle it? What would you do?

Uncle Sam. He been a long time leaving the bar. Seen the man at the roulette table earlier. Owns half the worlds debts. Wealthy guy. Trouble brewing in his wallet.

It's a very, very vague approximation...rasetsu wrote:What mean 'remain sane' ?

If I had that much money I might think about getting a dog.
