Collector, I'm as gung ho as anybody in a detestation of ISIS, and if the actual members can be eliminated, I'll be a happy man.

But doing so by some absurd nuclear strike is just plumb crazy, and you know it. Aerial strikes by all means (which Australian fighter jets have contributed), followed by local boots on ground (the kurds seem to be useful fighters), with as many military supplies as they need; I'm happy for Oz to contribute to an arms fund as required.

But let's stick to something realistic, rather than nuclear madness...

Glassing the area 200,000 ISIS soldiers occupy will also kill the 10 - 12 million people that live there. This will go down well with the other 1.8 billion Muslims. They will not be upset at all, nor will any previously apathetic followers of Islam wish to have anything to do with the terrorists who fight the rest of the world, not at all.

I would think 10-12 million wouldn't have a problem policing 200,000. They should get their shit together and stop allowing Muslim extremism to spread or they can share their fate. In WW2, the allies bombed the shit out of Germany, including the civilians. Same goes for Japan... who we dropped 2 nukes on.
