There's so many people on the net who believe this shit. I understand being sceptical of those in power, but this conspiracy theory shit is really tiresome. The level of commitment and control to keep such a thing secret is beyond believable. Especially in these days of anonymous online digital leaking. It's such a sad waste of mind power that could be better put to a more realistic effort to confront the problems of gross power imbalances in our societies.

eta: I just got stuck in a "debate" with one of these people on facebook the other day. It was about the possibility of the ISIS videos being faked. There's some evidence that they were, but these people jump from that to it all being a CIA false flag blah blah blah. Nevermind any number of more reasonable explanations. But that's always just the start of it. By the end of the debate, this guy was posting links about 9/11 and Sandy Hook being fake, and videos about the "New World Order" bollocks and even UFO's being a US cover up. And this guy was reasonably sane (at the beginning of the discussion). There's people orders of magnitude more fruity than that bloke.

Given we were talking about Australia, you are wrong, as usual. If you increased citizen gun ownership in Australia you would get more gun crime. Hence arming Australian's to address the minute threat of terrorism is retarded.

The point is, the threat from terrorism is so low, that the added gun crime from increasing availability of guns would almost certainly outweigh any reductions in the almost non-existent terrorism threat. In Australia, I'm talking. Seth is just trying to use this argument as a barrow to push his pathological love of guns onto everyone else.

Hot as the tortillas. But gun death stats are something rulers concern themselves with. Since Americans are represented instead of ruled, what you see is generally what Americans are happy with. Same as auto deaths. Tsk tsk, huh?
