What? A gun accident in some indeterminate Scandinavian country? Can't happen, there are no guns there!
Anyway, stupidity is its own reward. I suppose this means that every "officer" in the country should be disarmed.
Firearms safety rule No. 1: Never allow the muzzle of a firearm to cover anything that you are not willing to destroy.
Firearms safety rule No. 1A: Make sure that anything that looks like a firearm, isn't, prior to violating rule No. 1.
And that's why we don't let kids play with toy guns...ever.

When I was a young bloke, I had a lot of fun with an air rifle (we called 'em slug guns). One day, I had a friend over. We were eating peanuts. I forced a piece of peanut into the breech, casually pointed it at my friend's hand, and fired. That piece of peanut broke the skin, and caused a nasty little wound! My friend Dave was not impressed...
Mea culpa...

Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

Last night in a small town north of me (Population 100 or less...called Elmo, MO) a 5 year old boy picked up a gun on the table and killed his 9 months older brother. Just wanted to add this one to the collection since it will probably not make the big time news.

“Guns themselves are not dangerous. On their own, they have no ability to do anything.” All good then. Pew. I was worried for a moment.

And that's why we don't let kids play with toy guns...ever.
They have a very highrate of gun ownership in Finland. You might be able to point them at someone, as long as there are no witnesses. But you can never shoot them. Recent arctic Safari dude shot the tires out of a people's car as they were stealing his snowmobile gas. He got a big fine, loss of gun but no jail.

Which is ridiculous...him being charged that is. He was using reasonable force to arrest criminals. Merely because a gun is discharged in the vicinity of a person or persons doesn't make it either unsafe or illegal. Shooting out tires, if done properly, is perfectly appropriate force to stop the escape of a criminal.

It's rule No. 2
1 is: Every gun is loaded

Around here, it's number one because your number one is simply assumed to be true of every firearm at all times, and in my house, it's literally true because there is nothing more useless than an unloaded gun. But technically you're correct.

Not that it is relevant but you are equivocating.
Rule number one is--as your own example attests--All guns are loaded.
If Rule number one is not "All guns are loaded" then there is no need for any of the other rules.
It's common sense.
BTW, it isn't
my number one, it is Jeff Cooper's and the NRA's number one.

A man in Tomball, Texas, was startled out of his sleep by the sound of someone kicking in his front door on Monday night.
He quickly retrieved his firearm, ready defend his life and property — though he likely didn’t anticipate the intense firefight that would occur.
Two suspects and homeowner traded more than 30 shots during the aggressive home invasion, KHOU-TV reports.
Harris County Assistant Chief Deputy Mark Herman told KPRC-TV that the homeowner was “in fear for his life” when he opened fire on the suspects who invaded his home. He couldn’t confirm whether anyone was hit by gunfire during the exchange.
“It appears to just be a random home invasion. There again, the gentlemen was keen enough to have his pistol for protection,” he added.
The suspects were reportedly still at large on Tuesday. Witnesses reported seeing them flee the scene in a red Dodge pickup truck.
