That's a lot of people to shoot, might be better to accept the independence and self reliance are just not practical. We are going to have to come up with non-economical but socially useful jobs provided by the state.

Might be better to sort the sheep from the goats and cut off aid to those who actually are capable of working and give it only to those who are legitimately disabled, and who are willing to at least say please and thank you.

Somone doesn't understand capitalism, its role is produce a return on capital as a side effect it can produce jobs and employees but as you have said yourself countless times no one starts a business to employ people they do it make money for themselves

Once capitalism can no longer keep people employed which with automation and improving technology is inevitable then that's basically the end of capitalism

The key is that the individual has to do some sort of productive activity (physical or intellectual) for the purposes of obtaining those resources necessary for survival. That could be buying and selling stocks or hunting rabbits. It's "labor" as opposed to "leisure" or "recreation."

That's hardly social stability, that's imminent anarchy. A stable society is one where everyone works to supply those resources necessary for their survival, so that in the rare case of someone being unable (as distinguished from unwilling) to work, there is sufficient surplus available to care for those in need while also meeting all the other needs of society.

It's a lot easier for me to make $$ than it is for you. I can survive quite comfortably on 1/100 of what I net in a year. My customers pay my taxes, buy my expensive instruments from Switzerland, keep my lights on, pay my employees and pay their taxes too. I work a lot less than when I was making $40k/yr and had 2 kids to feed.
