US Police Despatch Another Black Teenager
Protests Are Starting Again In St. Louis After Cops Fatally Shot A Black Teenager
Weeks after protests over the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown started to subside, police in another St. Louis suburb have reportedly shot and killed an 18-year-old black man at a gas station.
Information on the shooting is thin so far, but large crowds have already started to form at the scene in Berkeley, Missouri.
Police have not yet commented on the shooting and it's so far unclear why 18-year-old Antonio Martin was shot, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It's also unclear whether or not Martin was armed.

Re: US Police Despatch Another Black Teenager
The article I just read this morning said he was armed, drew his gun, and pointed it at the cop. If true, then that's a very effective way to very quickly become dead.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Black teenagers without a car hanging out by gas stations, for nothing better to do, and armed. How smart is that?

Evidently an order of magnitude or so smarter than the dipshits who are protesting the shooting.Tero wrote:Black teenagers without a car hanging out by gas stations, for nothing better to do, and armed. How smart is that?
I'm thinking maybe it's time for all the St. Louis metro police to withdraw from the ghetto areas for a month or so and let the residents sort one another out.
Can you say "local militia?"

Unfortunately, the people with the best guns, and the willingness/ability to use them, are likely to be on the wrong side of the law right now.Seth wrote:Evidently an order of magnitude or so smarter than the dipshits who are protesting the shooting.Tero wrote:Black teenagers without a car hanging out by gas stations, for nothing better to do, and armed. Hardly. The citizenry just isn't pissed off enough to stand to...yet. So far the police are doing a fine job.klr wrote:Unfortunately, the people with the best guns, and the willingness/ability to use them, are likely to be on the wrong side of the law right now.Seth wrote:Evidently an order of magnitude or so smarter than the dipshits who are protesting the shooting.Tero wrote:Black teenagers without a car hanging out by gas stations, for nothing better to do, and armed. This example seems a lot more justifiable than the other recent cases of black deaths by police, but has still triggered the same protest/riots...

Yeh, but after the previous episode, I think that there is a deep suspicion that the police will produce a "throw-down" gun, and drop it at the scene, whenever they kill a black kid.JimC wrote:This example seems a lot more justifiable than the other recent cases of black deaths by police, but has still triggered the same protest/riots...
It's been standard practice in the past. It might be more risky now, with cameras about.
But the public still don't trust them, and with good reason.
It was so common in the past, that the term "throw-down" entered the dictionaries as part of the language.

Same situation. Mass unemployment forced on young blacks so they'll turn to crime. It is the same situation. No one in America should have guns. A nation with the mentality of two years olds.

I've seen these gas stations. It's not that easy to rob them. The teller is behind a glass and you pass the items you buy to them to ring up. Cash is collected frequently. The loss to hold ups would not really prevent them from being a profitable business for the year. A kid steals some cigars now and then. Big deal. Not sure the police cruising by now and then has much effect. Other than shooting a few teeanagers a year. The locals would be just as safe if the police did not cruise by. Or just stayed in the car till called to act.
Re: US Police Despatch Another Black Teenager
Then again there's the video of the perp aiming what could plausibly be a handgun at the officer. That's exactly why officers should wear body-cams.mistermack wrote:Yeh, but after the previous episode, I think that there is a deep suspicion that the police will produce a "throw-down" gun, and drop it at the scene, whenever they kill a black kid.JimC wrote:This example seems a lot more justifiable than the other recent cases of black deaths by police, but has still triggered the same protest/riots...
