My ex-wife used to annoy me with the "which would you prefer" game. It was always something with two horrible choices, like: What would you prefer? To eat dog shit, or have sex with Michael Moore?

That is a horrible one. In your case, I would say dog shit, because you're not likely to get to get fond of it.

I went for an eye test the other day.
I have raised pressures in my eyes, which is the early stage of glaucoma. It can make you blind if the pressures stay high. They treat it with drops. I've had to have the drops increased over the years, and now have been taking three different ones, six drops a day in each eye.
The last few weeks, I've had sore red eyes, incredibly itchy. It's conjunctivitis, and it can be viral, or a reaction to one of the drops.
I cut out two types of drops, trying to identify which might be causing it, but my pressures went right up.

I saw the head man wednesday, and he told me which ones to cut out and that I might have to have an eye operation, as I was running out of options on the drops. Nice.

Walking back to my car, the sun was out, the leaves were turning red and gold, shaking in the breeze.
It all looked bloody beautiful.
I decided I'd rather keep my sight and put up with the alzheimers.

Or was it Tuesday?
Or was that me? I forget.

I'm on eye drops for life to control glaucoma myself. Recent tests show that they seem to be working. There are quite a variety of drops these days, so persevere until you find one that works...

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Thanks.
It was the top man who told me I was running out of options with the drops.
I can't take the beta-blocker ones, I react badly to them.
I think I'm on the last of the list, going on what he says.
But my sister's mother-in-law had the operation, and had a good result from it, so it's not the end of the world.
But it carries some percentage of risk, that's why they use the drops so long as they can.

I've had eye operations for lens replacement, and to repair a detached retina, but I haven't heard of one that deals with glaucoma.

I'd rather...I'd rather...just...sing!
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

I haven't looked it up. But I seem to remember reading something long ago, that said that they create a drainage channel. I suppose they insert a tube or something.
I don't want to know really, till they tell me I have to have it.
