No, but I'm sure as hell switched on!

I'll make a quick circuit of the forum in a while, while I'm still wired...

See how stupid fucking Brit police are? They have to use a Taser to kill someone eating a girl's eyeball. Around here when we see someone eating a girl's eyeball, we put two in his chest and one in his head to make him stop what he's doing, on the off chance that the girl is still alive.

Only dipshits run from the police in the first place. And if the subject dipshit running from the police has done something worthy of getting a high-speed lead injection, then that's what he deserves, and nothing less.

You make it sound like the sight of people eating other people's eyeballs is an everyday phenomenon in the good old US of A...

Wouldn't surprise me, mind you...

Only if you do something that triggers their legal right to shoot you dead. (pun intended)

One should not do things that give police the legal authority to shoot you dead.

Here endeth the lesson.

I'll make something abundantly clear. I'm not opposed to police being armed, and shooting someone when absolutely necessary. Police in my state are routinely armed (although they usually also carry tasters, capsicum spray and batons as well)

Several years ago, it became clear that Victoria had an excessive level of police shootings, often involving mentally disturbed people, or criminals who had annoyed police by escaping jail. The police were reined in, much better training was employed, tasters and capsicum spray were issued, and techniques of negotiating siege situations were improved. The rates of police shootings declined significantly, but by no means to zero - there remain situations for which it is the only valid option.

I know exactly how you feel about autocorrects. In the previous post I actually typed in "culinary crops".

The problem I have with it is that they are telling us that the taser is non lethal. They are using it on innocent people too. And even on elderly blind people, in one case.

This time, the man was an asshole in the extreme. But, he was in his early thirties, fairly fit-looking, and it killed him.

If it killed him, it could easily kill me.

Innocent people :funny: I've yet to hear of anyone who was being cooperative being tasered.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

I've seen a Kodiak Police in July 2004 make a man lay face down with his palms up, then place his left hand behind his back, then his right. The officer then cuffed him with his knee on the man's wrists and back. Then the officer stood up, took a step back, and shot the handcuffed man in the ass and back with a taser.
About this time, other cops start showing up, the handcuffed man is now irate, screaming and flopping. There were several witnesses.
The 2 backup units surround the arrestee, and tasercop kills the juice and snatches out the leads. The man is screaming, beside himself with outrage. The 2 backup cops pin him and flexcuff his feet. Then all 3 pick him up and wrestle him in the back of a patrol car.
"Jesus John, you could have waited for us with this guy."
"He was fine until I cuffed him."
"Is that when you tased him?"
"Ahh..."
"What?"
"Well..."
"Shit John. You couldn't have tased him before you cuffed him!"

By now, witnesses are calling the PD, saying a City cop has tasered a handcuffed man for no reason. A State Trooper pulls in, he's evidently heard the City PD callout.. "Come on guys, huddle up. Let's get our story straight. ..."

By that time, I was cranking my truck to leave, because I was quite sure I didn't want to be there anymore. All 4 cop heads snapped around at the sound. I left.

BTW, I feel the police in the cannibal killer incident were probably fully justified in taseing any asshole who starts to eat someone else's head without permission.

Me neither. Walking to the pub with a walking stick because you are a 64 year old blind man is clearly a sign of not being cooperative. You deserve to be tasered from behind without warning. After all, that walking stick might have been a Samurai sword. Easy mistake to make that it wasn't. Link
