Yes, of course, Seth. I can already see the speaker at the rostrum holding forth about sexism in the videogame industry. Bloke in the fourth row draws his concealed gun. Speaker spots that immediately, draws her own concealed gun, aims and fires before he does. He is hit in the chest and immediately disabled. What could possibly go wrong with this scenario?

I wouldn't call that bullying or trolling, I'd call that assault. Say that IRL around here and you'll be spending a few days in county. Maybe that's what needs to change, threats made online should be treated the same way we treat similar threats made face to face.

Online death/physical violence threats were made against me twice: once on RDF, a second time on RatSkep. In both cases I reported them. In both cases nothing happened to the perpetrator. In both cases Galaxian was suspended.

As I've already mentioned, on most forums there are 2 sets of FUAs, one for those trolling the official propaganda, another for those who unravel the propaganda. The official trolls are rarely sanctioned, & even then with a feather duster. The true skeptics are ridiculed, insulted, suspended, & eventually banned, often on cooked up charges, or no charge at all.

There are government agents & sock puppets on most or all forums, including this one. Some are paid professionals visiting multiple accounts for several hours a day, often several accounts on the same forum. Some are do-gooder nationalists, xenophobes or supremacists. Others are simply "useful idiots" who are gullible & naive hero worshipers, not realizing that heroes are normally the psychopaths & other brutes who see the population as expendable livestock fit only to be farmed & used as they see fit.
