We already lock up all the young black males. Still, they have time to shoot each other before that. Costly this prison.

True enough. Still, if gangbangers shoot one another, what's the real loss to society? They choose their lifestyle and fewer murderous gangbanging criminals are better than more murderous gangbanging criminals. Shall we lament them as "America's most vulnerable youths" or shall we avoid disrespecting their right to make bad decisions in their lives, shake our heads, mutter "Silly asses" and go on about living without their particular threat in our lives?

e; #50, from Freemont Township, MI, was an incident which gained some online infamy, involving a woman who shot herself in the face when she slammed a rifle butt into the ground during an argument "to make a point"
:funny:
But so sad. I feel their pain.

Guns and trailers. There's always guns in trailers. And idiots.
LANCASTER, OH, 7/26/14: A $15 pet fee is what Colonial Estates resident Dallas Stanley was told provoked a neighbor to shoot two cats he was caring for with a rifle during the weekend. “These cats didn’t do nothing. They were in the backyard,” Stanley said Tuesday. “He was trespassing when he did it.” Stanley, 75, was talking about his neighbor, William N. Love Jr., 29, who is accused of shooting two stray cats Saturday. One of them died, and the other had life-threatening injuries. Stanley told officers he also had found another cat killed by gunshots around his property days before. In the process of shooting at the cats, a stray bullet also wound up hitting a neighbor’s trailer, going through the exterior wall and the trailer’s shower. The bullet stopped before it went through the trailer’s rear exterior wall, the report said. Stanley said Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office deputies told him that Love said he had shot the cats when he became angry over the trailer court’s pet policy. There is a monthly pet fee of $15 for dog and cat owners, which includes Love, but no one pays fees for the stray cats that wander the property. “That’s what I was told,” Stanley said. “I don’t know what’s going to come of it, but now he’s in jail.”

Better marksmanship and proper weapon selection was called for here. A .177 high-power air rifle with good marksmanship makes short, and safe work of eliminating stray cats....and squirrels.

Civilian ownership of firearms is largely restricted to non-individual entities such as sporting organisations, hunting reserves, and wildlife protection, management and research organizations. The chief exception to the general ban for individual gun ownership is for the purpose of hunting.

Individuals who hold hunting permits can apply to purchase and hold firearms for the purpose of hunting.
Sounds reasonable to me. Why didn't we think of it? 4.9 guns per 100 people.

You're lauding the citizen-disarming policies of a despotic Communist state? Really? Why the fuck don't you just move there if you like it so much?

That's what you get for hiding in trees and chittering at people as a lark...

And this one careless individual represents a majority of all 200 million plus gun owners how, exactly?

You need a clue, try this one:
Most--AKA the great majority, the preponderance, the landslide, the vast superior and overwhelming numbers--of gun owners will never be in the news in their entire life for anything related to gun accident or crime.

So who is stupid now?
