Republican mayor hit and run bicyclist incident

he yelled "get off my fucking road", knocked the guy off the bike. Later questioned. The mayor was not breathalyzed by police.

Witnesses do not report the cyclist running a stop sign or light.

Strangely enough I was nearly run over by a bicyclist.

Is there a connection?

One of my guys rides fat bikes all winter here. Thinks nothing of riding 60 miles up to Moose Pass and back along the Seward Highway in the dark and snow in January, little LEDs blinking forlornly in the swirling mists.
I keep telling him he needs to pack the trail up the powerline to the ski hill, but he just looks at me like I don't get it.

You don't really need contact to drive a bike off the road. I have once chosen the ditch myself, when a passing car yielded for another car coming against us, while I was right beside it. No, neither car stopped to see what happened to me (luckily I got only smallish wounds, and even the bike survived).
