Streaming

So if a person...hypothetically speaking, of course..wanted to watch TV shows and movies for free, how would such an evil person utterly lacking in morals go about such a thing? Hypothetically. Out of curiosity. No special reason I ask.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

One could use a torrent client, such as BitTorrent or Transmission.

One might use a site like this one.

So would I...I mean someone, hypothetically...have to install Ice Quick Stream in order to use this service? Or do I...or someone, that is, hypothetically... just click on something I...someone else, I mean, not me of course...want to watch? How does it work? And is it all safe? Am I...or would someone, hypothetically...get malware from this?

There is an awful lot out there by just spoofing your DNS so you can watch streaming around the world.

1. Install Bittorrent
2. Use Pirate Bay to look for movies / series
3. Sort seach results by number of seeds
4. Look for an entry in the first results with a green or purple skull & bones icon (Trusted uploader)
5. Click on magnet icon in the search results.

When dismasted in high seas on a lee shore, streaming a sea anchor would be a jolly good idea.

You need to download Google Chrome and then go here...
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... mcem?hl=en

..and download and install the app. It's also advised you install this.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... fddb?hl=en

When you've done that select one of the links in the IceFilms site and proceed to download. You can start watching the film straight away as it downloads.
Not having much luck here. Third link is AdBlockPlus. I already have that. Second link is for an ice theme for my browser and/or desktop. Not understanding what that's going to do for me

Anyway so I went to the icefilms page and I was prompted to download DivX Player, so I did that. Clicked on the first download link. When I try to play, it says it's no longer available.
Followed second link. Was prompted to download yet another movie player. Which I did. And which infested my computer with all sorts of programs I didn't want, plus changed my browser home page and search engine settings and fuck knows what else. Spent an hour or so getting all that fucking shit off my computer.
Followed third link. Thought the video was going to play but then Chrome froze up.
Followed fourth link. Video actually started. But then Chome froze up solid again.

I found a link that would play but it won't play smoothly. Keeps stopping and starting. Plus the dialogue is in Spanish :ddpan:

Will try Pirate Bay.

Can I uninstall DivX Player now?

I would. Download VLC. It plays pretty much every format of video out there. I've used it for years.

VLC is good. I think I've added some additional codecs to it, but that was quite a few years ago. Maybe new versions of the program don't need that any more. Tatt, once that's installed, do some file associations. That way you only need to click on your video files for VLC to start automatically, then play the file you have clicked on.

When you download free software it frequently loads up a whole raft of other programs you don't actually want by default and often changes the home page of your browser and does other "adjustments". Well, you have found that out just now, haven't you? The good news is that you can usually stop that from happening by reading the stuff that pops up during the installation procedure and unticking the boxes that offer to also install, say, bing, ask.com, a new homepage and so on.

Yeah, I'm very careful about that stuff. This time, there was only one option to untick, which I did. But the program installed it anyway, along with a bunch of other shit :irate:
