Christ, I thought Seth and rEv were nitpickers. Does ratskep breed unbalanced never-wrongs or is it an affliction you catch after posting there?

Being a fool, its wonderful to look at self-satisfied "intellects" ( :funny: ) bicker like this, Never in the field of human conflict has so much been said by so few about so little.

There was the Bunny Incident at PeeZus' blog. I think it might be a contender.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

To be fair, the Phairylinguists are well known to be a bunch of pathetic unstable angry-mongers. It's a bit more surprising to see it from people who are not "radical" in their ideological outlook and twice as funny.

I remember reading something once, either Bob Wilson or Stang or perhaps Leary. They asked the question something akin to "if you could take the inner natures of all mankind and project the entirety of it on a wall, would it be all peace and love or an insanely brutal slaughter." I think we can see somewhat of an answer on the net, that a large part of it is a bunch of angry totalitarians who do not give a fuck about anyone or anything but themselves, to the extent that their reactions to disagreement are pathological.

If we survive the next couple of thousand years, we might finally get rid of that. But the ape still over-rides reason.
