There was nothing to justify the step from zero to permaban.

I see there was a new member who was just banned, presumably for being a troll. Very quick. I'm not convinced he was necessarily a troll. There was still a reasonably good chance he was just deluded and an idiot. Not sure why they don't go through a suspension process first, instead of jumping for the ban-hammer quick flash.
