Gin worth £18,000 stolen from lorry on A14
Thieves have stolen £18,000 worth of gin from a lorry parked on a roadside in Northamptonshire, police said.
More than 1,000 bottles were taken from the truck while it was in a lay-by between junctions two and three on the A14 eastbound carriageway.
Police believe a van was used to steal the pallet of bottles between 20:00 GMT on Wednesday and 05:00 on Thursday.
Northamptonshire Police urged anyone offered cheap Bombay Sapphire gin to contact the force.

Looks like a frame up as 1,000 bottles wouldn't last a year in JimC's case. Now the gin lakes surrounded by lemon trees appearing all over the world is a little more suspect?
