Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
Re: Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
I watched the first 10 minutes of The Master, but switched to Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as both were on TV at the same time.

Swedish or American version?
Re: Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
The American one. It was surprisingly good.
Re: Movies of the good kind we have looked upon.
It was surprisingly better, IMHO.

15 hour flights are good for movie catchups.
Gravity...so so - Bullock still has a good bod. Interesting physics - bit of a stretch of a story line.
Rush was terrific - must see. All the better as based on the true story and Lada was involved.
All is Lost....pretty decent from an aging Redford..
Captain Phillips.....better because it was based on a true story. Bit Amerika centric.
Tinker Tailor...etc - kept falling asleep - will watch another time. Good cast.
Jobs - interesting tour through some of the history I was directly affected by. Learned a few things. Well done in a short time frame to cover a lot of drama.
The Butler ...top notch cast and again a movie that is improved by being based on a true story. MIght be very interesting for non-North Americans.
Diana - Naomi Watts takes on an icon pretty well. Never quite "becomes" DIana tho close at times.

Learned a lot - she might still be a positive force were it not for the press.
Landmine Treaty a real legacy - perhaps the best thing a royal has been engaged with in a good while. Engaging despite the "not quite her" aspect.

I was forced to watch Frozen with one of my classes yesterday.
Musical, Disney, animation. The perfect storm of yuck.

Yeah, I have to admit that the quality of the animation was amazing. And there were a couple of places that made me laugh, but I wouldn't have watched it if a dozen young coeds hadn't pleaded with me.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was one of my favourite movies in the last few years. I've been meaning to watch it again.

Based very, very, very loosely on a true story. Fuck me the film stretched my credulity at times. Watch it for its action if you must. Don't expect something believable.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Very nerdy and very geeky. I'm sure many here would enjoy it.
I have to admit, I enjoyed it also.

Just watched "Imposter" the other night. It's a documentary with a cinematic flash back thingo. Pretty impressive movie mixing the real story in with a cinematic sort of drama/thriller touch.
