Continuing the farcical to and fro from here:
http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 5#p1535365
Anyway, I'm against gnus. They are too ugly to be allowed to exist. They also trample all over lawns - and eat it. If everyone had a gnu, there'd be no grass left anywhere at all. Not even on golf courses.
Oh, wait. Maybe they are good for something after all. If only some properly trained and qualified officials owned gnus, like, say, caretakers of golf courses...

I believe Roosevelt helped the USA out of the Depression with the Gnu Deal, so they have their uses.

As for me, I'm down with the Gnu Atheism, despite the herd mentality that keeps cropping up.
"A philosopher is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat that isn't there. A theologian is the man who finds it." ~ H. L. Mencken
"We ain't a sharp species. We kill each other over arguments about what happens when you die, then fail to see the fucking irony in that."
"It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favor of vegetarianism while the wolf remains of a different opinion."

Nooooooes!!!!11!1!!11!! The Gnu Deal was a Marxist conspiracy to deliver the unwashed masses into hopeless, irredeemable dependency on tyrants, to be abused, eventually summarily executed at will and freighted to a factory where they will be processed to become gnutritious soylent green.
Now pass me that ice pick. I have a tyrant to take care of. That's what we freedom loving people do. We kill people who threaten glibertarian gliberty.

In the less enlightened corners of the globe, the young of these magnificent beasts are often sold into slavery. It's a terrible thing to see gnu kids on the block.
