It looks really cool. I hope it has proper physics for space combat (I forget the game, but there was one in the early 2000s that allowed you to shut off thrusters and 'glide'. You could also change the direction your ship was facing while maintaining the same vector and speed - very handy for turning about and shooting missiles or whatever). Not even X has that.

Yes, it will, with the proviso that there is a "top speed", just to make things manageable.
